For our spring break vacation, we went to 巴黎 first, then went north to Normandy. Even though most sites in 巴黎 were closed because of COVID-19, we still got to see the outside of all the major monuments. We ate lunch in front of the Eiffel Tower, took scenic panoramas from Sacre-Coeur, and ate macarons while walking the Champs-Elysées. While in Normandy, we stayed in Bayeux, which was a super cute small town. 从那里, we took a train to Mont Saint-Michel and spent a day exploring the magical medieval island monastery. We also took a bus to see the Normandy beaches and the famous WWII D-Day sites. Spring break passed by like a blur between the action-packed days, late nights of laughter and games, the craziness of trying to figure out the public transportation, and the magic of seeing so many cool sites.
